Description
Statue of Stevens T. Mason, the first governor of Michigan, in Capitol Park. Monument was designed by Albert Weinert and erected in 1908. In the background are John D. Mabley Men's and Boy's Clothing, Tietze-Milo Dyeing and Cleaning Co., a Coca-Cola advertisement on side of building, streetcars, and bicycles propped up against a storefront. Recorded in glass negative ledger: "D/Monuments-Mason, Stevens T."
