Description
Clapboard house belonging to Lewis Cass has two separate front door entrances and a sign on tree advertising St. Louis Laundry, Street Railway office next door. Also have print from negative. House was located on Larned between First and Second streets and was demolished in 1882. Stamped on albumen cabinet card back: "From Jex Bardwell, 28 Cass St., Detroit." Handwritten on cabinet card back: "Macomb House. Ret to Robt L. Stanton (?), Grosse Ile. Photographer Jex Bardwell." Recorded in glass negative ledger: "D/Historic houses-Cass, Lewis."
