Description
Boat is pulled by a team of horses in front of businesses and crowd gathered on street, sign on boat reads, "Merchant's Truck Co., safes and machinery moving, telephone 1051." Evacuation Day celebrates the arrival of United States troops under the command of General Anthony Wayne and the withdrawal of the British garrison in 1796. Recorded in glass negative ledger: "LD/Anniversaries-Evacuation Day." Glass negative is cracked down center.
