Description
Large group of soldiers stand on either side and at the entrance to Fort Wayne in Detroit, Michigan. Also have print copies of image. Stereograph has text used by Jex Bardwell on the back, but doesn't have the name. Handwritten on duplicate print mat front: "Sally port of Fort and volunteers. 1861." Light spot in image. Duplicate print mat damaged on edges. Recorded in lantern slide ledger: "D/Forts-Wayne, entrance to fort."
