Group of firefighters in uniform pose outside storefronts with fire engine; some firefighters carry drums. Handwritten on front: "Mayflower 76 M.C.R.R., distance allowed by judges at Michigan State tournament held at Battle Creek, July 4, 1860, 276 feet, 11 inches; dia. of cylinder 8 inches, length of stroke 9 inches." Handwritten on back: "See: Farmer, Silas, History of Detroit, p. 510."
