Typed on label on card back: "The old Finney barn at the northeast corner of State and Griswold Streets, the site of the Detroit Savings Bank Building. This old barn was a place of refuge for slaves who were escaping into Canada via the 'Underground Railroad.'" Handwritten on card back: "N.E. cor. State and Griswold Sts."
