Handwritten on card back: "About 1893. 87 Congress St. not occupied; 89 [ditto] Baffy & Gagel, liquors; 91[ditto] Mary A. Gies, grocer; 91 1/2 [ditto] Banner Laundering Co.; 93 [ditto] Desire Ketele, saloon. Congress St. East, north side between Randolph & Brush. Right-hand store was on the N.W. cor. of Brush. This is the present site of the Wayne County Building. Jas. W. Bishop. 4-9-42."
