Handwritten on card back: "Photo of portions of Larned and Congress Sts., east of Randolph. 1860. 61 Larned St. E. cor. Randolph - Rasch & Bernart. Congress St. M.E. Church, destroyed in '63. One of early theatres was held in its basement. 1864, The Athenaeum for [?] for several years. 54." Photograph flaking at edges and corners.
