Small clapboard house, two windows with shutters on front, small set of stairs leading to front door with large glass window inset. Young woman posing in front of house. Handwritten on back: "J. W. Millen and Nettie, 206 18th St., City, May 1898. Aug. 5th 1898 John W. Millen died - or passed out. Capt. J. W. Miller, Lake Captain and fireman. Was fireman till promoted to the "Detroiter" fire tug as pilot."
