Italianate brick house with half-basement; may be double house, as there are two entrances. Other houses on both sides. Viewed across unpaved street, past leafless trees and metal fence. Printed on card back: "New series. Panoramic and cabinet sketches, in and about the city of Detroit. Photographed and published by Jex Bardwell, 31 Monroe Avenue. Handwritten on card back: "No. 28. R.H. Hall (deceased), 406 Jefferson Ave., 1881."
