Two-story brick Colonial style house, with decorative woodwork around roof and entranceway. Windows with dark shutters, side and back porches. Surrounded by wooden fence, snow on ground, other houses in background. Handwritten on back: "H.H. Leroy, cor. Woodward & Park St. (torn down), 1881." Label on back: "The site of the David Whitney building, corner of Woodward and Park, in 1881. The houses shown were owned by H.H. Leroy." Stamped on back: "Farmer Bros., photographers, Detroit, Mich."
