Second Empire clapboard house with elaborate roofline trim, pillared and balustraded porches, behind wooden fence, viewed from unpaved street. Leafless trees; carrriage mounting block by road. House built right next to taller brick building. Handwritten on mat back: "C.I. Walker, Fort St. near Griswold [39 W. Fort], 1881."
