Description
Small two-story wooden-frame house with decorative woodwork around windows and eaves of roof. Entrance on side of house. Sign on house reads "Office of H.H. Ladd, U.S. Claims Agent and Notary Public." Family poses in front, including young child. Handwritten on front: "The old homestead, #192, Mother and Bessie, and #190 Detective Blacy, wife and son Rode(?). N.B. Have a heart." Handwritten on back: "190 18th St. in 1886; Henry H. Ladd's Residence. Father died Sept. 19th 1910. Mother died May 16th 1912, and Aunt Phila, Feb. 25th 1915." House located on 18th Street. Upper right corner of mat board torn away.
