Three-story brick Italianate house with tall square cupola. Brick street and wooden sidewalks in foreground. Label on back: "Residence of Gov. John J. Bagley, 1832-1881. Site of Statler Hotel." Handwritten on back: "Washington & Park Avenues, 1881. Afterwards Michigan Conservatory of Music. Present site of the Statler Hotel, 1921."
