Brick church building with steepled bell tower behind metal fence, with house to right, viewed from across street. Edge of brick building cuts into frame. Snow covers steps, sidewalk, and street. Rope draped from fence to near top of steeple. Two people just inside fence, horse-drawn carriage in foreground. Handwritten on mat back: "1st Congregational Church [Presbyterian crossed out] - just before its destruction. Oct. 1892. S.w. cor. of Fort & Wayne. Dedicated Sept. 21, 1854."
