Empty Colonial-style building, windows missing from panes. Handwritten on back: "S.E. cor. First and Fort Sts. The Cass House in which Gen. Cass died. The wing on the east side was demolished May 13, 1898 and this picture taken May 14, 1898. The building is now being razed. May 18, 1898."
