Men and women, and two boys, in 18th-century costume. Handwritten on photograph front: arrow pointing at "Mrs. Geo. Van Ness Lothrop is Martha Washington. 4." Handwritten on label pasted on card back: "The tableau represented 'Huntington's pictures' as nearly as possible with holy night opera - one is missing in the photograph. Those in the center stepped back when 8 men & 8 ladies stepped forwards & danced the minuet. 1845 [probably 1875] - given for St. Paul's Episcopal Church guilds."
