Description
Early tractor airplane (pulled through air by propeller) on lawn at Maximotor factory. Billboards behind plane. Written on side of plane: "Verville Perry." Written on tail: "Detroit, USA." Written on side of building: "1526 Maximotor 1546." Handwritten on mat back: "My first active interest in aviaton, September 1914. Worked after school hours at Maximotor works for nothing. Picture should an experimental tractor that Max Dingfielder [sic - s/b Dingfelder] let us build. There, also, the front of the Maximotor plant on Jefferson Ave. From the Corwin Van Husan scrapbook."
