Signs on buildings include: "Watson wholesale cigars," "Eagle Art Gallery photographs," "John W. Fox," "Marratt photos, portraits," "J.L. Hudson clothiers," "W.E. Ba[rker] fur[niture]," "H. Black & Co.," "First Federal Savings." Handwritten on mat back: "Woodward Ave. at City Hall (left) & Campus Martius. Corner with flag (Wright Kay's) (now Bond's) erected 1860. Detroit Opera House. Note st. light towers in front of City Hall."
