Printed on back: "Photographic sketches in and about the City of Detroit. Consisting of street and marine views, public buildings, churches, monumental and other objects of interests. Photographed and published by Jex Bardwell." Handwritten on back: "Old St. John's Lutheran Church. Monroe Ave. corner of Farrar. 1872."
