Walled Lake, Michigan
View of Walled Lake with trees around it and road leading up to lake. Written on photo back: "Looking from the west side of the wall near where the little wagon shop of the Woodward boys stood, towards the Evans house and barn and taking in Jim Hoyt's house, Mrs. Evans, Manerva and Jerome are seen indistinctly in front of their house, our barn shows but the hickory tree is behind some others so it is not prominent, the apple trees in front of the house is the golden ? tree, the crotched tree in the road is the little hickory that stood behind the 4 kill n, the house is farther north and nearer the road than ours was, the vast fence is the south line and the post and w? fence the corner of the Hall lot, the dark in the foreground is the shadow of a tree that I stood under but is much exagerated, the pole near the crotched hickory is one that Alice Evans put up you can see in a row of telephone poles on the other side of the road." Image is very faded.
