Three sailors standing next to bollard. One in full uniform, mosty clean; the other two in work-stained uniforms without ties. One man has trousers rolled above his knees. Photographer's shadow. Duplicate has number above each man, reference to legend. Handwritten on mat back: "E.B. Nall." Handwritten on duplicate mat back: "1. Chas. Rathbone, Millionaire Club mem., mngr. Rathbone Estate.; 2. Paul Bagley, millionaire tobaco [sic] mfg.; 3. Jas. Ballard, Yale & Berlin grad., chief chemist, Solvay Process Co. (Germ.)."
