Marquette waterfront
Photograph of part of panoramic etching of Marquette, showing buildings, waterfront, docks, sailboats, and ships. Printed in photograph: "Marquette 1863. C. Werner." Handwritten on photograph front: "Over." Typed on back: "This is a photograph of an etching made by Mr. Greene from three photographs taken by Werner in 1863. Five photos in all were taken by Mr. Werner, and combined to make a panorama view beginning from the corner of Rock and Front Streets on the west and swinging northward and east to Light House Point. A copy of the entire five photos taken is owned by the Marquette County Historical Society, and is in their room at the Peter White Public Library. Copies of two of the photos--the two used to make the right hand two-thirds of the etching--are attached. The original etching was given or sold to Mr. N.M. Kaufman, and is now owned by Mrs. Frank B. Spear, of Marquette."
