Description
View of bronze tablet marking the site of the Fox Indian encampment during the 1712 Siege of Detroit, installed on the Fort Street side of the Penobscot Building. Inscription reads: "Here encamped the Fox Indians, Outagamies, during the Siege of Detroit, 1712. Here also were buried the soldiers killed in the Battle of Lake Erie, 1813. Erected by the National Society of the Colonial Dames of America in Michigan, 1905."
