View of plaque on anchor from U.S.S. Yantic, installed on the lawn of the Naval Armory at 7600 East Jefferson Avenue. Inscription reads: "1864-1929, anchor from U.S.S. Yantic, built 1864, Philadelphia as Pres. Lincoln's yacht on Greeley Relief Expedition, active in three wars, 1897 training ship, 1922. Sank 1929 near this site after 65 years on the seven seas. This tablet placed June 26, 1936 by the Historic Memorials Society in Detroit, Michigan."
