View of bronze tablet dedicated to General George S. Patton, located at the entrance of the swimming pool at the Patton Recreation Center. Inscription reads: "In honored memory of General George S. Patton. The citizens of Detroit dedicate America's first indoor-outdoor swimming pool, August 30, 1950. General Patton was one of the greatest military geniuses in American history. His extraordinary knowledge of military science and tactics materially shortened the Second World War."
