Embossed on mat front: "Harman & Verner, cor. 4th & Washington Ave., Bay City, Mich." Handwritten back: "Very truly yours, C.R. Hawley, Col. 3rd Inftry, M.N.G." Printed on back (partially covered): drawing of the Bay City Art Gallery building front and "cabinet cards, india ink, water color. Cor. 4th & Washington Ave., Bay City, Mich., The negative of this photograph is preserved for future {more text not completly readable}."
