View of Beaux-Arts monument at Waterworks Park in honor of Chauncey Hurlbut, member of the Detroit Water Board of Commissioners. Designed by Herman H. Brede and Gustave A. Mueller. Stone monument has domed roof supported by columns. Printed on front: "Detroit, Mich. Hurlbut Memorial Gate. U.S. 637." Printed on back: "Printed in Germany. F. von Bardeleben, New York & Germany."
