Description
Front and side view of Y.M.C.A. building; multistory brick and stone building has cupola on roof. Printed on front: "New Y.M.C.A. bldg., Detroit, Mich." Printed on back: "The new Y.M.C.A. building. Corner Witherell and Adams Avenues, is the largest and most complete of its kind in the world and boasts of a gymnasium second to none in the country. It was erected in 1908 and has cost in the neighborhood of $700,000.00." Handwritten on back: "Howell, May 1, 1912. Dear May, We got your card tonight. We hope that you are well. The work on the forty is all ready to plow. There is business started on Chilson that is agoing to build ... fast and bring up the value of land near it. Good by, God bless you, Mother." Card is postmarked May 2, 1912.
