Log cabin at Palmer Park
Front and side view of two-story log cabin at Palmer Park. Printed on front: "Log cabin, Palmer Park, Detroit, Mich." Printed on back: "Log cabin, Palmer Park. Built on land donated to the city by ex-Senator Thomas W. Palmer in 1893, and situated north of the city at the extreme terminal of the Woodward Avenue car line, is one of the city's favorite breathing spots. Its centre piece is a log cabin which is an exact reproduction of the home in which Senator Palmer resided when Detroit was a little more than a trading post. 126, published by A.C. Dietsche, Detroit, Mich. and Frankfort, Germany. Made in Germany." Handwritten on back: "Dear Mother, My waist came and is alright except too long waisted. I like the way it is made. I am still looking for a job have added Wis. to my list. Heard from three this week one has hired a teacher, one asked if I danced and played cards. I didn't like your letter this week. K.C." Card is postmarked April 23, 1909.
