View of Hazen S. Pingree monument at Grand Circus Park. Printed on front: "Pingree monument and Grand Circus Park, Detroit, Mich." Printed on back: "Pingree monument and Grand Circus Park, Detroit, Mich. The Pingree monument in West Grand Circus Park, was erected in 1904 by popular subscription. The late Hazen S. Pingree was four times mayor of Detroit, and twice governor of Michigan. He died June 18th, 1901, aged 60 years. C.T. Co., Chicago, R-27921." Handwritten on back: "Dear Father, I received both your cards but did not receive them till after you were gone so excuse me for not being at the depot. Excuse me for writing with a pencil but my pen won't write on these cards. Edwin Henmen." Card is postmarked Aug. 21, 1917.
