View of Waterworks Park; "Welcome to Gladwin Park" is spelled out in flowers in garden bed. Trees and floral clock in background. Printed on front: "View of Gladwin park, formerly Water Works Park, Detroit, Mich., 1372." Printed on back: "1372, Gladwin Park is the new name recently given to Water Works Park, which occupies a plot of 72 acres of ground on Jefferson Avenue owned by the city and partially occupied by its water works pumping station. The water supply is pumped through a long tunnel from Lake St. Clair to the distributing point. The Park has been made one of Detroit's beauty spots and is noted for its beautiful walks and floral displays." Card is postmarked August 8, 1911.
