Grab
Description
View of pavilion at the edge of lake in Palmer Park. Men and women stand on path surrounding lake, watching the ducks. Printed on front: "Pavilion and lake, Palmer Park, Detroit, Mich." Printed on back: "Pavilion and lake, Palmer Park. The land for this park was donated to the city by ex-Senator Thomas W. Palmer in 1893, and is situated north of the city at the extreme terminal of the Woodward Avenue car line. Its center piece is a log cabin which is an exact reproduction of the home in which Senator Palmer resided when Detroit was a little more than a trading post. The pavilion represented in this view is provided with comfortable chairs and is liberally patronized during the summer months."
