Handwritten on back: "Feb. 8, 1916, Dear Emma, I got the box all O.K. and I thank you very much, you are a darling. Emma you think of your mother some time. I hope you got my letter. I was goto [sic] write to you girls. Sunday ... Mrs. Bailey came so I didn't get to it. I thought I was goin [sic] to get better but now I have such bain [sic] I can hartly [sic] stand it. I am glad when the day is gone so I can lay down. I don't believe I will ever get over this. I hope you ar [sic] all well. How is Roszella getin [sic] along, love to you all from your Mother."
