Description
Corner view of Y.M.C.A. building; multistory brick and stone building displays American flags on roof. "Y.M.C.A." sign on corner cupola; park in foreground. Printed on front: "Y.M.C.A. showing new addition, Detroit, Mich." Printed on back: "1356, the new Y.M.C.A. building. Corner Witherell and Adams Avenues is the largest and most complete of its kind in the world and boasts of a gymnasium second to none in the country. It was erected in 1903 and has cost in the neighborhood of $700,000." Souvenir Post Card Co. publisher trademark printed on back of card. Handwritten on back: "Dear Friend, I am having a good time sense [sic] I was home. From A. Cohrs." Card is postmarked September 21, 1912. Crease on card; edges of card are worn.
