Printed on back: "Steamers Juniata and Tionesta are passenger and freight steamers owned by the Anchor Line and ply annually between Buffalo and Duluth. The scene shown is an unusual one, showing the vessels tied to the company's wharf in Detroit at the same time, unloading and taking on freight and passengers. Published by A.C. Dietsche, Detroit, Mich. and Frankfort, Germany. Made in Germany." Handwritten on back: "Dear Libbe [?], we're having a fin [fine] time in Detroit. Lina." Card is postmarked July 19.
