Printed on back: "City Hall, Detroit, Mich. City Hall cost $600,000. The clock is one of the largest in the United States and there is but one larger in the world. The dials are 8 1/2 feet in diameter. C.T. Co., Chicago, A-17429." Handwritten on back: "Sunday. Dear Mother, Just a line to let you know that Fred's boat is safe ... call up the Port O. and they told that they were safe at Duluth. Were laying at the ... during the storm. By by, Mary." Card is postmarked November 17, 1913.
