Detroit riverfront
Grab
Description
View of Detroit riverfront from river; passenger boats on river and at docks. Printed on front: "Harbor, Detroit, Mich." Printed on back: "The harbor. Virtually all the commerce of the Great Lakes, except that between Superior and Michigan, passes through the Detroit river. Immense freighters bearing their loads of ore, grain, coal, lumber and general merchandise are constantly in sight and this, added to the passenger steamers and ferry boats, makes the riverfront one of the most interesting points of the city. More tonnage passes this port during the year than that of any other port in the world."
