Construction work at sunken approach to Detroit River tunnel. Lumber and materials rest on tracks. Steam engine passing on tracks above the tunnel to right. Partial sign reads: "Richard L. Aylward, coal and coke." Printed on front: "783. Detroit River tunnel, Detroit. Pesha Photo." Handwriting on back: "15/10. Well, Babe. This is 11 a.m. I am going to watch the [illegible] then I will be home. How are you. I am well. This is all. By by. J.L.S.(?)." Card is postmarked July 15, 1910.
