Printed on front: "Cadillac Square, looking east from City Hall, Detroit, Mich." Printed on back: "Cadillac Square, Detroit, Mich. Cadillac Square runs east from Campus Martius to county building and was named after the founder of Detroit, Antoine Laumet De La Mothe Cadillac. Cadillac Chair is located on the west, which was formerly the site of the Old City Hall built in 1836 and occupied until 1871 as the seat of civic authority. Cadillac arrived in Detroit July 24, 1701. On that day, under the patronage of Louis XIV, the city of Detroit, then called Fort Pontchartrain, was founded. Published by United News Co., Detroit, Mich." Handwritten on back: "4-3-15. Vernon I hit this spot yesterday when I was alone. Nina and I have just come back from the city, but am going [to] town this afternoon, after lunch, and going to take supper downtown and then go to a show. Marie." Card is postmarked April 8, 1915.
