Description
Campus Martius viewed past city hall and the Soldiers' and Sailors' Monument. Street-cars, automobiles and pedestrians on streets. Printed on the front: "The hub of the city, Campus Martius, Detroit, Mich." Printed on back: "Campus Martius, Detroit, Mich. Campus Martius is a public square, located in the center of the business section of Detroit. It was named by Judge Woodward in 1806, the word meaning military camp." Handwritten on back: "Dear friend: I had a letter stamped ready to mail to you and came away and left it on the table. So will send it when we get back. We are in Kazoo now going out to Cooper. Ed expects to go back to work Sunday. He feels fine so do I all but my feet. Eliz." Card is postmarked August 2, 1920.
