Four and a half-story brick school, with central clock tower and symmetrical gabled wings on both sides. Viewed from a height at an angle across intersection, past trees. Printed on front: "Central High School, Detroit, Mich." Printed on back: "The Central high school, situated on Cass Avenue is the leading public school of Detroit. The building and grounds occupy a complete block, and the site cost the Board of Education $130,350. The addition shown on the left was completed in 1908 at a cost of $250,000. The buildings represent an investment of three quarters of a million."
