Height: 5-10 1/2. Weight: 180. Bats: right. Throws: right. Al appeared in a few games for the Indians in 1947, 1948 and 1949. But he didn't stick until the 1950 campaign when he started with a bang. Slammed out 17 homers in the first 50 games. Began pro career in 1942. Minor-league experience included Oklahoma City, Kansas City and San Diego. During 1943-45, Al was in military service.
