View of three men sitting on plank along the Mississippi levee during the pathfinding expedition for the 1912 Glidden Tour. Standing man shaves the beard of man sitting on plank; man holding a pair of scissors is partially visible on right. The pathfinding tour covered a route from Detroit, Michigan to New Orleans, Louisiana, but the 1912 Glidden Tour was canceled. Handwritten on back: "Pathfinder along the Mississippi levee, 1912. Tours--Glidden Tour, 1912."
