Handwritten on front: "More Oklahomans reach Calif. via the cotton fields of Ariz." Handwritten on back: "Automobile travel." Printed on back: "The automobile was often the only hope for the future to many families fleeing from the Dust Bowl in the Southwest during the depression years of the 1930's. Many of these families left their homes in Oklahoma, Kansas, Arkansas, etc. for a better life in California."
