Fireplace in Children's Room at the Detroit Public Library, surrounded by Pewabic tiles designed by Mary Chase Stratton and Horace Caulkins. The tiles depict well-known characters from children's literature. Wooden benches are built into the walls on either side. The fireplace was installed in 1921.
