Brick house with Gothic-style architecture, overgrown ivy covers front, two front doors, presumably divided into two residences. Two women look out from windows, young boy on front steps. Stone monument in front reads "Allen." Handwritten on back: "Residence of Richard W. Allen, 118 Miami, now site of Was ...'s rest., right side of house still standing, 1894." Stamped on back: "Alfred Devereaux, photographer." Handwritten underneath: "38 Congress St. W."
