Brick church building with steepled bell tower behind metal fence, viewed from across street. Three houses to the right of church, edge of building to left cuts into image. Several people walking on sidewalk toward church door. Handwritten on mat back: "Fort St. Congregational Church - just prior to removal of steeple. Oct. 1892. West side of Summit St. South of Fort. S.w. corner of Fort & Wayne."
