View of Michigan National Guardsmen during 1967 riots in Detroit. Fire in background. Printed on front: "7/24/67, Detroit. Michigan National Guardsmen push rioting Negros [sic] back from a burning building with fixed bayonets on Detroit's westside here 7/23. Four persons have been killed and 178 have been injured. Looting and burning of buildings continued through the night. UPI telephoto." Handwritten on back: "Race riots, Det. Nat'l Guard."
