View of the ceiling above the grand staircase at the Woodward entrance of the Detroit Public Library. Designed by Frederick Wiley, the ceiling contains allegorical figures from Aesop's fables, seals of the City of Detroit, State of Michigan, the United States and the University of Michigan. Handwritten on back: "Mural painting, grand staircase, Main Library."
